PRE-TOUR Luang Prabang B-L

3 Nagas Luang Prabang by M Gallery Deluxe

05:30 Experience a quintessential Lao morning, starting with a spiritual tak bat, or almsgiving ritual. Each morning, locals line the streets to make offerings and receive blessings from monks who walk through the town in single file. Join them in giving alms and taking part in this timeless tradition. After the ceremony, visit the morning market where locals pick up their daily supply of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Return to your hotel for breakfast.
08:30 Uncover layers of history, culture and endless charm in Luang Prabang's meandering streets and iconic temples. Start with an overview of Lao history at the Royal Palace Museum, then visit Wat Visoun, the watermelon-shaped stupa.
Continue to Wat Xiengthong, an iconic temple covered in glittering mosaic art and learn about life and tradition in Laos' remote communities at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center, which showcases a collection of tribal textiles, tools and traditional artifacts.
11:30 Trek through a limestone-rich forest in remote northern Laos, exploring an ethnic village, lush jungles and a waterfall. The adventure begins about 90 minutes' drive from Luang Prabang. Tucked away in the quiet countryside, the village offers a rare insight into authentic tribal culture and a window into a different way of life. Depart from the village on foot, following the jungle trail through the tropical forest for about two hours. As you make your way through the lush landscape shaded by tall trees, you begin to hear the sound of rushing water in the distance and the path opens up to reveal the sparkling, turquoise lagoons of Kuang Si Waterfall.
12:00 This is the perfect time to stop for lunch at a scenic restaurant that serves Lao soups and papaya salads amid the peaceful jungle foliage. The waterfall creates a spectacular vision of sparkling, turquoise lagoons backed by lush green vegetation.
After lunch, you may wish to take a quick dip in the crystal clear pools or explore more walking trails. Say hello to some of the rare Asiatic black bears at the Bear Rescue Center, a small sanctuary for rescued and rehabilitated bears located within the forest.
15:30 Then meet your driver and return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.
Please note: This trek requires a moderate level of fitness. Please remember to wear suitable footwear for walking in the forest. The path can get muddy at times, particularly between June and October.

POST TOUR Siem Reap B

Anantara Angkor Resort Suite

Angkorian temple located in the quiet countryside northeast of Siem Reap. Known as the "Citadel of Women," the pink sandstone temple was built by a Brahmin priest in the 10th-century and contains some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.
On the way to the temple, drive through rustic villages and rice paddies to meet a local family that has benefited from the Cambodia Clean Water Project, a non-profit initiative by Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy. You can contribute to the Cambodia Clean Water Project by pre-purchasing a water well for a local family. In a country where safe, clean, fresh water is a scarcity, one well goes a long way to improving the livelihoods of people living in the poorest provincial areas.
During your time in Siem Reap, you can visit the family that directly benefitted from your contribution and see the positive impact you have made in their lives. Please note that pre-purchased wells must be requested at least four months prior to travel. To find out more, visit www.akphilanthropy.org.
Later, experience life on the great Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and one of the world's richest sources of fish. Travel by boat across the lake to explore a floating fishing village. Watch fishermen go about their work, witness authentic moments of life in the community and discover rare water birds flying overhead.
